I stopped for a moment, brought out a map to know where I was. From the line of longitude, I knew I was deep in the forest, far away from our camp. Yes, this was what I wanted—to find my own path and make my own discoveries. I brought out bottled water from my backpack, took a few sips, returned it back and then continued my exploration. It had been two days since I left my group of geologists to make my own discovery, and I could say I had been very successful in my discoveries.
